On Saturday 15th August TEECH volunteers decended on our storage facility in Thorndon to help pack the Articulated lorry, Moffett lorry (both provided by BT) and the TEECH transit van. This took a majority of the day even with the help of volunteers who were not joining us on our visit to Romania. Sunday 16th August, 34 Volunteers departed from the BT Fleet grounds in Colchester and travelled for 3 days finally arrived in Comanesti to be greeted by rain and a fantastic lightening show.
The following morning we set to work cleaning, fixing the plumbing (toilets and showers), fixing electrics (lights, plugs and wiring) and a massive amount of painting (walls, door frames, cartoon pictures) and general DIY such as renewing doors, windows and walls. A lot of work also went into repairing the computer room, this had already been stripped back to the wall and a basic frame inserted ready for the fire proof plaster board top be cut and attached.
As a final part of the project TEECH provided much needed aid drops to various other orphanages and schools in the area and a few received a visit from a couple of our decorating volunteers who painted cartoons to help brighten the walls.
Wednesday 26th August TEECH volunteers invaded the Comanesti Mayor's office for a morning cup of Tea, a chat and a photo shoot for the local papers before departing for home.
Here are a few notable photos with information

There is still plenty more work required at the Robert Cole Centre and a few of our volunteers will be returning later in the year. As always TEECH have gained new friends and hope to add articles on how they are getting on.
A BIG THANK YOU to all those who have contributed to make this project happen, the TEECH volunteers and to the friendly staff at the Robert Cole Centre who made us feel welcomed.
