Why Join TEECH

 TEECH needs you!

TEECH couldn’t exist without our volunteers, Join TEECH now!

TEECH invites everyone over the age of 16 (under 18's must be supervised by an adult) to join them on their yearly projects to Eastern Europe (usually Romania or Moldova). We ask that you are not afraid of some hard work and abide by our conditions. Our volunteers are a social bunch and a majority of our members can be found on Facebook.

TEECH assist with fund raising activities during the year such as our extremely successful Masquerade Ball and Disco's which also serve as a great reunion.

Over the course of the year we receive large quantities of donations which need to be sorted and then loaded onto the articulated lorry. Volunteers are requested to attend at least 1 pack up day a year. The following dates are scheduled for 2012. These events normally commence from 9.30 till 1pmish but it could be all day when we come to load the lorry in August.

  • Saturday 17th March 2012
  • Saturday 21th April 2012
  • Saturday 19th May 2011
  • Saturday 16th June 2012
  • Saturday 21st July 2012
  • Saturday 4th August 2012 - the lorry loading day!

Additional dates for July and August to be confirmed nearer the time.

TEECH are always in need of skilled workers in areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing and bricklaying Don’t worry if you do not fall into any of these categories as we will find something for you to do!

To cover the costs of the trip TEECH has to request that all volunteers contribute towards the trip expenses (travel, accommodation and food whilst on location) and so we ask that you raise a minimum of ÂŁ650 for this.

The trip normally take place in the last two weeks of August - this is still to be confirmed for the 2012

Please contact gemma@teech.org for a Volunteer Information pack if you would like to join us this year!

The 2012 project will be to Moldova again and this takes approximately 4 days there and a further 4 days back, with the first night spent on the coach and the next two nights in hotel on route. It might seem like a long time but we have plenty on stops and its a great bonding experience with the other volunteers. While on the project we will be staying at the orphanage as the children will be away at summer camp so we have full access to the dorms.

TEECH volunteers work hard during the day and usually spend the evenings visiting the local pub or having a break in the project grounds.

Still unsure??? We have a video for you to watch.
