TEECH invites everyone over the age of 16 (under 18's must be supervised by an adult) to join them on their yearly projects to Eastern Europe (usually Romania or Moldova regions). We ask that you are not afraid of some hard work and abide by our conditions. Our volunteers are a social bunch and a majority of our members can be found on Facebook.
TEECH also run fund raising activities during the year such as our extremely successful Masquerade Ball and Disco's which also serve as a great reunion.
Over the course of the year we receive large quantities of donations which need to be loaded onto the articulated lorries (volunteers are requested to attend at least 1 pack up day a year).
TEECH are always in need of skilled workers in areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing and bricklaying - Don’t worry if you do not fall into any of these categories as we will find something for you to do!
The Project Format
To cover the costs of the trip TEECH has to request that all volunteers pay £200 towards the trip for expenses (travel, accommodation and food whilst on location) and a minimum of £150 in fund raising. TEECH recommend www.justgiving.com as an easy way to receive donations and as a great advertising tool. Please email

The trip normally take place around the last two weeks of August (this year confirmed as 16-29th August), volunteers congregate at BT's Adastral Park HQ ready to travel by coach in convoy with the articulated lorry, transit van & light goods vehicle loaded with supplies and aid. The option to travel by plane is also available but incurs additional costs; please contact

The trip to Romania takes approximately 3 days there and a further 3 days back, with the first night spent on the coach and the next night in a hotel. While on the project we will be staying at the orphanage as the children will be away at summer camp so we have full access to the dorms.
TEECH volunteers work hard during the day and usually spend the evenings visiting the local pub or having a break in the project grounds.
