2012 Project - 11th - 25th August

From 11th – 25th August 2012 TEECH will be returning to Moldova to a school in Valcinet, a small town in the middle/west of the country.

The school currently has no indoor toilets for the 350 children therefore this project will really benefit many lives.  We plan to convert a disused laundry room for the boys and a storage room for the girls.  Additionally we will be redecorating some of the class rooms and adding murals to the walls together with new furnishings.

As in previous years the TEECH volunteers will be camping out in a few of the class rooms so an air bed and pillow are essential for the trip.  Our chef will be taking over the schools kitchen and providing nourishing meals to keep the volunteers fueled whilst taking on the jobs at the school.  
 
If more than 30 volunteers join up for this years trip then TEECH plan to take on a second project which is a few hours away in Trifanesti, near Balti in the middle of Moldova.  building in the village has been identified to transform into a kindergarten for 24 children (ages 3-7yrs), the building is connected to the electric but full rewiring is required so the team needed for this project will be largely electricians and plumbers to help install new toilets too, 3-4 non skilled willing assistants will also be needed for this smaller project
