Our 2009 Project to Falesti (Moldova) was unfortunately postponed due to swine flu restrictions so we dedicated our resources to help the Biggin Hill Romanian Group project called the Robert Cole Centre which is an day care centre for special needs children in Comanesti (Romania) that was damaged by a fire.
Going to Romania will mean we can depart for the project a day later on Sunday 16th August 2009 and arrive at our destination on Tuesday 18th but still leave for our return journey on Wednesday 26th and be back in the UK on Saturday 29th August 2009.
For those planning to fly we would suggest either still flying direct to Bucharest and getting the train to Bacau and then we can arrange for you to be collected from the station or you fly direct into Bacau from Stansted or other UK airports.
TEECH hope that all volunteers that have so far signed up for the trip still wish to join us but if you have any queries what so ever please e-mail me or call Rob our chairman on 0787 1374616
Project Information - Robert Cole Centre / Foundation For Life Centre, Comanesti, Romania
The RCC is a daycare centre for children with special needs attending from Kindergarten up to year 8
In the first quarter of 2009 a fire broke out in the Robert Cole Centre's "Foundations For Life Centre". As can be seen, there remains a considerable amount of work to be undertaken to get the Centre up and running in time for the beginning of the new academic school year!

At least the Pool table that TEECH sent in October 2008 wasn't too badly damaged!
