The project for this year was a residential school for disabled children, one of only two such schools in the whole of Romania.
Our tasks were to get the therapy pool working again, modernize and decorate the infirmary and completely redecorate the dining area.
Browse the pictures below and see what we actually achieved with support from our volunteers.
The infirmary couldnt be used as the roof leaked. We sorted out the roof, added a new shower and toilet, fixed the windows and re-decorated inside and out.
The hydrotherapy pool hadnt been used for 5 years due to a leak. TEECH volunteers put in a new heater and fuel pump kindly donated by by BT's charity staff at Martlesham. The pool provided an excellent environment for the disabled children to be able to exercise.
